Obama calls for immigration reform in months
WASHINGTON:
US President Barack Obama on Tuesday urged lawmakers to agree on an
immigration reform bill that would offer undocumented migrants a pathway
to citizenship within the next few months.
"Send
me a comprehensive immigration reform bill in the next few months, and I
will sign it right away," he said, using his State of the Union address
to confirm the issue as a central priority of his second term.
